A fine Ron Kusse 5' one piece fly rod, built for a #3/4 line. Serial #9200. Fast action. Near mint condition. The only signs of use are some faint brassing to the inner snake guides, some slight reel foot and slide band impressions on the walnut reel seat, and a small scrape on the butt cap oxidation. Flamed cane with a three-up node pattern. The wraps are a light brown with five extra bands, maroon, black, brown, yellow, and maroon at the keeper wrap. The varnish is first-rate, just flawless. The grip and slide band seat are one piece of walnut turned to a slim cigar and varnished. The cap and ring are oxidized and the cap is stamped "Ron Kusse, Maker" in a cartouche. A tan cloth bag and hang tag comes with the rod. The hangtag states the weight of the rod as 1.5 oz. but my scale has it at 2.5 oz. The rod is packed in a frost coat aluminum tube with a brass top and bottom.
