This jaunty polka-dot dress is by icon of late 20th-century daywear, Laura Ashley. Tailored from medium-weight high quality navy cotton printed all-over with white spots, it is cut with a full-skirt and nipped-in waist and recalls silhouettes of the 1950s. The strapless top has a sweetheart neckline and is boned at the sides and front. The fabric is generously cut and is ruched at the sides of the bust. The low-backed dress fastens at the rear with a hidden tonal zip and is finished with an oversized bow with flat, pleated hanging ears - really drawing attention to the back of this pretty, gamine dress.

This late 1980s to early 1990s dress is in excellent vintage condition with no issues. The composition label confirms that it is made from 100% cotton. Labelled a vintage size UK 10, EUR 36, USA 8 but this runs very small by today's standards and the fabric has little give to it. Our model is a UK 6-8 and 5ft 4in. (163cm) and this dress was a snug fit so please check our measurements below closely. We estimate a best fit for a UK 6 or US 2.
