This little sweater is so fabulous and it is so rare to find such an early and wonderful example of knitwear like this from the Lanz company. It was hand made in Austria and the company began by making traditional costumes for Austrians attending the Salzburg music festival and eventually began to supply pieces for the tourist market. I love the floral design that is worked through the knit in rows between the little pom pom like nubs of wool and cross checks. Everything is slightly raised so has an extra dimension to it. Knits like this showed extremely string on the Prada, Miu Miu and Gucci runways and finding an original that can easily stand up to any of the newer pieces is a find. Excellent condition

Unlined and closes at the front with domed, embossed silver metal buttons. The knit does have some stretch so will fit a variety of sizes
