This 1970 maxi dress encompasses a bohemian aesthetic and is crafted from cream silk or a silk - rayon blend. It has elements of Victoriana in the high, ruffle neckline and formal, long silhouette. The sleeves are long with pretty ruffle cuffs. The front has been delicately pintucked, adding texture, and this bibbed front is outlined in decadent frills which widen as they climb the body. The skirt is long with an A-line cut and is adorned with three rows of frills towards the bottom. There is a hidden tonal zip under the left arm and a keyhole neckline at the back of the neck which fastens with a single button. This dress is unlined.

The dress is in excellent vintage condition and a perfect choice for a low-key summer wedding or event. There are no labels remaining but this is a very well manufactured or bespoke made dress using good quality techniques and materials. Size wise, we suggest a good fit for up to a UK 8-10 or US 4-6 with a smaller waist. This dress has no stretch and there is plenty of room in the hip.
