This striking dress was designed by Frederick Howard of London in the 1970s. It is a well made piece and the memorable colour scheme across the semi-sheer georgette fabric includes tonal pinks, browns, ochre and grey. The bold, geometric chevron print is splashed with flowers, buds and foliage which recall an English country garden. This ankle-length gown is cut to a sleeveless style with a V-shape cross over front. A ruched belt cinches the dress under the bust, creating an empire line silhouette which swirls lightly around the legs as the wearer moves. This lovely piece is lined with pale peach-pink satin and fastens at the rear with a hidden zip in baby pink. It is in excellent vintage condition with no issues and would fit up to sizes UK 10-12 or US 6-8.
