The Iris Purple Immortelle Gown is a Marie Antoinette corset gown inspired by the refined palette of late 18th century French court fashion, where softened violets and floral purples were favored for their elegance, rarity, and association with cultivated taste. Unlike the deep imperial purples reserved for symbolism and authority, iris tones occupied a more nuanced space, romantic yet composed, expressive without excess.

In period textiles, this spectrum of purple was often achieved through layered dye processes that blended blue and red pigments, resulting in a luminous, dimensional hue that shifted with light and movement. Each gown features a fully built-in corset constructed with coated spiral steel boning for sculpted support and shaping. Adjustable front and back modesty panels provide up to eight inches of expandability, allowing for a more personalized and adaptable fit over time.

Designed to be worn over panniers, side hoops, or full hoop skirts, the Immortelle Gown may be styled with removable stomachers, layered skirts, and decorative panels to create a silhouette unique to the wearer.
