Hand-applied camo denim meets wax coating so thick it feels like leather before you realize it is cotton.
MD75 treats denim the way most designers treat knitwear - as a surface for accumulation and transformation. This trucker jacket begins as raw cotton denim, then undergoes hand-applied camouflage treatment where marbled grey and charcoal tones are painted and abraded by hand. No two jackets are identical. After the surface treatment, the entire piece is wax-coated, creating a stiff, leather-like finish that creases and cracks with wear, revealing the softer denim structure beneath. This is process as aesthetic - the jacket carries its making on its surface.
The shearling collar is dense and matte, a visual anchor against the industrial textile below. MD75's signature cross logo sits as a metal plate at the back waist - a hardware detail that doubles as industrial jewelry. The pleated accordion-style chest pockets add artisan dimension to an otherwise classic silhouette. Black ribbed knit cuffs at the wrists soften the jacket's angular stance. The wax coating makes the surface three-dimensional: shadow pools in the abraded zones, light catches the raised ridges. It feels substantial across the shoulders - not heavy, but present.
Wear it open and the shearling lining reveals itself. Wear it buttoned and the matte gunmetal closures disappear into the dark fabric. Made in Italy, in the same Carpi workshops where MD75 finishes its knitwear. The jacket ages deliberately - wax wears away at friction points, camo softens and fades, shearling compresses to the shape of your shoulders. What you buy is not what you will own in a year. Both versions are designed.
Hand-treated camo. Wax over cotton. Each jacket unique. That is not marketing - that is the process.
