This high quality 1970s bright lilac evening dress was made by British label Trina Lewis and Marjon Couture at Baker Sportswear. The dress has a bustier top which is boned all the way around, held up by two delicate shoulder straps. The bust is lined with pale pink-lilac satin. The fabric is cut generously to give a bouncy silhouette; the pretty neckline is formed from layers of lilac faux taffeta and the waist is ruched as though a sash is wrapped around it. The theatrical skirt is full and swirls around the wearer, falling to the ankle. It is lined with black tulle to add volume. The dress fastens to the rear with the original tonal zip and a hook-and-eye clasp.

This dress is in truly excellent vintage condition with no issues of any note. Made in England, it is labelled a vintage size 12 but please check our measurements below carefully as the waist is very small and this is a better fit for up to a UK 8-10, US 4-6.
