The innovative NOTIFIER Self-Test Series features intelligent plug-in smoke detectors engineered for high performance, visual appeal, and ease of use. By integrating these detectors with the NOTIFIER INSPIRE Series N16 panel and a mobile app, users can automate smoke and heat maintenance tests, eliminating the requirement for manual tools like heat guns or canned smoke. This Self-Test capability is the first of its kind to achieve UL approval and satisfies the three fundamental NFPA maintenance standards: smoke entry testing, functional testing, and visual inspection verification.

These units maintain the key benefits of the 951 series, including an advanced optical sensing chamber built to detect diverse smoke sources while meeting strict code requirements. For added convenience, sensitivity levels can be adjusted through the control panel software. The system constantly monitors sensitivity and alerts the panel when chamber contamination necessitates specific maintenance.

For specialized thermal sensing, the FSP-951T-SELFT utilizes dual electronic thermistors set at a fixed 135°F (57°C). Alternatively, the FST-951-SELFT intelligent sensor can be configured via the Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) to operate as a 135°F fixed temperature unit, a 190°F high-temperature unit, or a combined rate-of-rise and 135°F fixed sensor. Point ID functionality, supported by rotary and decimal switches, ensures each detector can be assigned an exact location. The NOTIFIER Self-Test series is also compatible with FlashScan applications.
