The classic and traditional Xhosa skirt, Umbhinqo ka Makoti is an A-line skirt made with shweshwe panels. Please select your favourite shweshwe print in either classic blue or brown, we have loads more designs available, and can send them to you to choose from on purchase. Please include all your measurements so that we can start making your tailor made outfit!

It also has a paneled apron with pockets and comes with button detailing.

All products are made to order, please allow 2 weeks for completion of your order. Occasionally we cannot source the shweshwe print in the pictures, in that case we will provide you with close alternatives for your selection.

Please note:

• Washing Instructions: Wash separately at 40 degrees; Do not bleach, tumble dry or dry clean. Warm iron only.
• Our seamstresses work with African Venda print, shweshwe, seshoeshoe, German print, wax print and umhbaco/soze/ibhayi fabrics and more.
• We only use 100% cotton Shweshwe or German Cloth produced by Da Gama Textiles in the Eastern Cape, the only textile manufacturer to produce The Original Shweshwe with Three Cats designs.
