Our 97% naturally derived formula is made from ingredients that keep over half of their original structure, from plants, mineral or fermented sources, while plant-based ingredients are specifically derived from plants. SheaMoisture is the legacy of a pioneering mother of four and entrepreneur, who sold Shea Butter, African Black Soap and homemade beauty preparations in Sierra Leone in 1912.
