This gorgeous little dress may not be as flashy as some pieces I have had on the site but it is absolute perfection if you are looking for a dress that will never feel inappropriate and still with a touch of detailing. It is made of a fine black silk that has the feel of a lightweight wool so it has structure and shape. It is cut to skim over the body. Yes, it does give shape but in that perfect way that feels classic. This is the type of dress that you may imagine Kate Middleton or Meghan Markle wearing in our modern world. Little cap sleeves give a touch of coverage to the upper arm and the waist is set slight above the natural waist line for the most flattering fit. The front neckline is scooped and detailed with a thick white silk cording that is hand placed and curved into a intricate pattern. I love that you can see a glimpse of skin through the cording. The fabric label on this one is hand written and the tag is numbered. This usually denotes a custom order or an order by an established client. It is extremely well made and my client says that it was never worn. Excellent condition.
