This fabulous Christian Dior grey tweed dress is from the 2007 autumn / winter collection which marked the 60th anniversary of the extolled fashion house. The design harks back to the original nipped-in silhouettes the eponymous designer himself pioneered in the early 1950s.

Crafted from a soft grey wool tweed, this dress is a timeless piece which will never go out of style, whatever the season. It features a beautiful deep V neckline to both front and back, with short, gathered sleeves to really enhance that classic Dior hourglass shape. The dress is lined with luxurious black silk and fastens on the left hand side seam with a discreet zip closure. It narrows at the waist with draped fabric details, mirroring the effect created by the sleeves. The skirt is cut in a traditional pencil shape, complete with double sash detail to the front, with the first section backed in the same black silk as the interior. The dress is in truly fabulous vintage condition, and looks barely worn. Although it is labelled a UK 16, it would best fit a UK 12-14, or US 8-10.
