This looks like it should be very heavy but it is surprisingly light. This is because of the clever use of fabric. It is sequined almost head to toe however the fabric behind it is actually a metallic thread lame with eyelash fringe portions to it. This keeps it very light weight and also supple while still allowing it to appear structured. The dress has a black velvet bodice that is simply cut and has a high waistline. The skirt is a simple A-line. The jacket is a gem and tops the dress perfectly. I love the luxe touch of the dark mink cuffs. The blend of the three textures is gorgeous and it is in excellent condition

Both pieces are fully lined in black silk. The dress closes with a back zipper and the jacket has no closures. Hand finished inside. Mink cuffs. There is a change in the direction of the velvet in the top of each shoulder but because of where it is its not noticeable when on.
