This impressive neckpiece features a large repoussé silver tawiz with space for your charms, mantras, prayers or locks of hairs. Tibetan turquoise and a sterling toggle clasp. A collector's piece for those who appreciate old world charm and unparalelled craftsmanship. The 925 Sterling silver vintage tawiz opens by unscrewing one end, and removing the cylinder. It's an impressive piece of fine craftsmanship, with vine work and ribbed finials. A rare piece dating from the 1970's, but recently strung.
The natural turquoise used in this piece is not dyed; it is natural from the Nepal/Tibet region.
