Each one of a kind neckpiece features the ta'wiz, tawiz (Urdu: تعویز‎, Hindi: तावीज़), muska (Turkish) or taʿwīdh (Arabic: تعويذ‎) is an amulet or locket worn for good luck and protection common in the middle east and South Asia. Tawiz (or taweez) worn by Muslims contain verses from the Quran and/or other Islamic prayers and symbols pertaining to magic.

1. This impressive neckpiece features a large repoussé silver tawiz with space for your charms, mantras, prayers or locks of hairs. Tibetan turquoise and a sterling toggle clasp.  A collector's piece for those who appreciate old world charm and unparalelled craftsmanship. The 925 Sterling silver vintage tawiz opens by unscrewing one end, and removing the cylinder.  It's an impressive piece of fine craftsmanship, with vine work and ribbed finials. A rare piece dating from the 1970's, but recently strung. 

   The natural turquoise used in this piece is not dyed; it is natural from the Nepal/Tibet region.

2. Large natural faceted turquoise barrel shaped beads drape beautifully around your neck.  A vintage 925 sterling silver drum bead with melon ribbing makes for an off centered focal point.  The 24" long neckpiece is finished with a woven textured silver chain and toggle clasp.

Turquoise rondelles with marcasite spacer beads are smooth and natural variegated colors of blue-green. 11.5" for the beaded necklace plus a 2" silver and natural turquoise amulet, aka: tawiz, old tribal silver end caps with an unusual ridged turquoise center.
