1950's 2-piece skirt suit or skirt set in a beautiful lightweight grey speck fabric, feels to me like cotton. These is a beautiful black trim on the bottom hem of the top and around the bottom of the skirt made from a grosgrain ribbon. The ribbon makes a really cute bow on the bottom of the skirt that matches the bow at the bottom of the top. The top of this set isn't really a traditional blazer, it buttons down the front and the sleeves are dolman cut with no shoulder seam. Closure is the buttons down the front and the little bow detail at the bottom snaps on the side to keep everything just where it goes. My favorite little feature is the tabs on the top of both sleeves that button at the top, so darling! The skirt is a classic 50s a-line shape and has buttons down the center that match the buttons of the top as well as that matching piping. When I bought this set is was raw at the top with no waistband so I had my tailor add a waistband which she did expertly with a thick cotton piping and it closes with a snap at the top and a metal zipper down the side. These pieces are cute as can be worn together but both could be worn separately as well.

The brand tag in the neckline of the top says "A Mar Tee Original" and there is a little style size tag next to that. There is not a tag in the skirt as it looks like it was in the process of being altered when I got it with no waistband but the one my tailor added is perfect and looks original. Condition is excellent. No holes, stains or odors, washed and ready to wear. I wanted to note that to my eye the buttons on the top have the slightest hint of yellow and the buttons on the skirt are the same exact style and shape but they are more white. As you can see, this skirt set is in beautiful shape, presents like a dream and has years of wear to go.

Size is a modern small. I've shown it here on my model who is 5'8" with 32/24.5/36 and a size 4, it was darling on her but could fit a bit bigger as well. The measurements are as follows:

Top:
Bust - 36.5"
Bottom hem - 36"
Length - 17"

Skirt:
Waist - 26"
Hips - open (43")
Length - 26.25" (at least 2" seam allowance)
