Radium Dual PCV/Crankcase Fluid Lock Catch Can Kit — Honda S2000 AP1/AP2 1999-2009

An oil catch can is essential on any performance vehicle to protect the engine from elevated crankcase blow-by accumulated during aggressive driving. Excess oil-saturated air recirculating back into the intake stream degrades combustion efficiency, fouls intake valves, and reduces thermal efficiency in intercooled applications. Radium Engineering catch cans feature large 10AN ORB ports, a 4AN ORB drain port, 2-step oil separation baffling, and an O-ring sealed dipstick.

The Radium Dual PCV/Crankcase Fluid Lock Catch Can Kit 20-0099-FL combines two independent catch can kits for the Honda S2000 into one complete solution. Both kits operate as closed-loop systems — they do not vent to atmosphere (VTA), making them emissions and track legal. Clean, filtered air is routed back through the engine to promote negative crankcase pressure for optimal performance, while preventing oil vapours from entering the cabin.

The Crankcase Catch Can 20-0098 runs inline with the 1/2" valve cover breather port. At high load (WOT), this hose experiences vacuum and would otherwise draw crankcase vapours, unspent fuel, and oil sludge into the intake pipe. For turbocharged or supercharged applications, this catch can is a necessity — oil accumulation in the intercooler significantly reduces heat exchange efficiency.

The PCV Catch Can 20-0097 runs inline with the 3/8" PCV valve. At idle, low-load cruising, and deceleration, the PCV hose experiences metered vacuum that would otherwise draw crankcase vapour and oil sludge into the intake manifold. Because Radium catch cans are pressure-sealed, they are safe for boosted applications — no check valve required when connecting to the intake manifold.
