This extraordinary 1970s full length purple wool couture dress is by Greek couture dress is by celebrated Greek designer Nikos-Takis and is of excellent quality. This unusual piece features stylised gold embroidery on the hem and sensational sheer pleated chiffon fluted sleeves which extend to the length of the dress. There are also pleated chiffon inserts in the skirt, 2 at the front and one at the back. There is a V neckline with princess seams on the bodice and 2 x large box pleats at the front of the skirt which descend from just below the hip. The dress is lined in a coordinating purple with a central zip to fasten at the reverse. A magical dress in excellent condition with no noticeable flaws, would best suit a US size 8-10, UK size 12-14
