Stylish late 1980s or early 1990s dress and jacket ensemble by British occasion-wear designer Frank Usher.  The dress has elegant shoulder straps with a lightly boned sweetheart bodice and is ruched with a crossover front.  The main body cut in a fitted, mermaid like shape which fans out in a floaty chiffon section from around mid thigh and is neatly finished at the hem. Featuring a pretty purple and green hued floral print, the inside of the dress is lined with a white, lightweight polyester fabric, ensuring the comfort of the wearer. It fastens at the centre back with the original white metal zipper, concealed by a placket, topped off with a simple hook and eye closure. 

The jacket is just as classically 80s as the dress, complete with padded shoulders and floaty sleeves, heavily gathered to create a voluminous, flowing effect. Both garments are labelled a UK 36, USA size 10, but would best fit a modern day size 8-10 UK, or 4-6 US.  Great vintage condition - no issues.
