Vintage Jean Muir skirt suit from the mid to late 1980s. Both the skirt and the jacket are made using a brightly printed and lightweight viscose material, featuring bold blue, red and orange flowers against a mottled blue and white background. The skirt is cut in an A-line shape and is lined with a white silky feel material. It has a fitted waistband and side zip closure, complete with blue button detail to the top of the placket. The jacket has shoulder padding and full gathered balloon sleeves which fall to the mid forearm, and have an amazing volume to them. The neckline is a shallow, soft V shape, and the front of the jacket fastens with five plastic buttons in the same shade of primary blue as the floral print. There is a peplum detail to the waist, which creates a lovely silhouette.

Both the skirt and jacket are in great vintage condition with no issues. On very close inspection we noted minor discolouration to the inside of the neckline, though this is not noticeable when worn. Great pieces when worn as separates and a best fit for a size UK 8, or 4 US.
