Are your production cuts slowing down because your saw demands constant manual attention between each pass?
What if your bandsaw raised its own head after every cut, reset for the next piece, and let you stay focused on the work instead of the machine?
Meet the JET J-7060 12" x 20" Semi-Automatic Horizontal Metal Bandsaw, a large-capacity production saw built for shops that need consistent cuts through heavy stock with less operator involvement.
With the J-7060, you get a variable speed drive system, cast iron blade wheels, a hardened gear transmission running in an oil bath, and a swing-away control panel that keeps every major adjustment within easy reach.
When your saw handles the reset automatically and your blade speed is dialed in for the material at hand, you move through cuts with more confidence and fewer interruptions.
The J-7060 runs 17-inch cast iron band wheels that carry the blade with steady mass through each cut. Cast iron holds its shape under the heat and stress of metal cutting better than lighter wheel materials. That means less blade deflection and more repeatable results across a full production run.
Not every metal cuts at the same speed, and the J-7060 gives you direct control over blade speed through its variable speed drive system. You can dial in the right speed for the stock in the vise without swapping pulleys or stopping the machine. Paired with the swing-away control panel, those adjustments happen quickly and without reaching across the saw.
The downfeed on the J-7060 is governed by a dual system of counterbalance springs working with a hydraulic cylinder. That combination gives you a controlled, even descent through the cut rather than a freefall that can load the blade unevenly. The result is a smoother cut face and longer blade life on heavy stock.
The patented 3-jaw vise uses a rapid action moveable jaw to clamp material faster than a standard two-point vise. The vise swivels to 45 degrees for miter cuts, and an adjustable material stop lets you repeat the same cut length without measuring each piece. For shops running volume work, faster fixturing means more cuts per shift.
The transmission uses hardened and ground gears running in an oil bath. That setup reduces wear and keeps heat out of the drivetrain during extended production runs. It is a design built to hold up under the kind of daily use that wears out lighter machines.
