MURKANI x HAGAR – Lost & Found Collection

The Lost & Found collection was created in partnership with HAGAR International to support Afghani women whose lives were devastated after the fall of Kabul in August 2021. With women and girls no longer permitted to attend school or work, the clock was turned back 20 years on women’s rights in Afghanistan.

This collection directly supports HAGAR’s Afghanistan Livelihoods Project, which is helping 720 families in Kabul rebuild their lives. Women in the program are given opportunities to launch small businesses, join family-run cooperatives, or access meaningful employment—empowering them to regain independence and stability.

Inspired by the ancient Tillya Tepe treasure hoard—a remarkable discovery in northern Afghanistan of over 20,000 gold and gemstone artefacts across six tombs—each piece in the Lost & Found collection is designed around the themes of Courage, Love, and Renewal.
