This breezy shirtwaister dress was crafted in the 1950s to early 1960s. Tailored from thick but soft textured linen, it is the stand-out print that attracts attention. Geometric forms in grey and vibrant turquoise are sketched across the cloth in an abstract manner that only adds to its arty, stylish appeal. The silhouette is simple, with a flattering nipped-in waistline formed from gathered pleats at the waist. The flat belt in coordinating cloth accentuates the waist further. The open-collar and short sleeves imbue this dress with a casual feel, as does the button down front. Unlabelled but of very good quality with nice hand finished details.

The dress is in very good to excellent vintage condition overall. We consider surviving belts from this era a bonus but there is a bit of rust coloured discoloration around the buckle. You could of course add a different belt if desired but the dress is perfectly wearable without. Slight markings noted around neckline but only on the inside. A best fit for a UK size 8-10 or US 4-6.
