This original early 1950s pale cream mousseline cotton wedding dress was couture-made in France and is in very fine, wearable condition. The dress has a high neckline and yoke collar with three-quarter length sleeves with puff-shoulders and ruched cuffs. The waist features a cummerbund-style design crafted from pleated folds of coordinating muslin which fastens at the back with a large cotton-covered buckle. Below the belt, at the rear, there is an extra layer to the skirt which falls to the same length as the skirt. Both the skirt and apron layer are softly pleated at the top and fall to the floor. The dress is unlined and fastens at the rear with the original silver-tone zip.

This lovely dress is the perfect accompaniment to a garden party in the sun or could easily be worn as a carefree wedding dress. In excellent vintage condition with no issues of any note; if we are being very picky, there is a very faint tinge of orange around the belt buckle to the rear from age. Couture made, no labels remain in this dress so please double check our measurements below. The fabric has no stretch and the dress would fit up to a size UK 6 or US 0-2 on account of the very small waist.
