Interested in designing your own clothes? Have you followed a pattern before, but came out unsatisfied with the fit? Then this workshop is the perfect fit for you! During this class, we will cover the basics of drafting a bodice sloper using your body measurements, sewing a mockup, and adjusting it for the perfect fit. Designers and tailors use a sloper as a template to draft endless variations of clothing, because it is tailored to fit your exact body.

This is a 6 hour workshop (two, 3 hour sessions) held on June 20^th & 21^st, from 2:00-5:00pm in our sewing area at Community. It is available to ages 18+ with a maximum class size of 3 students.

While this is a beginner’s level workshop, knowledge of how to use your sewing machine and basic sewing knowledge is required. If you have never used a sewing machine before, please sign up for our Beginners Sewing course first.

The instructor, Evelyn Russell, is a redesigner and seamstress at Community. She is studying Fashion Merchandising and Fabric Design at the University of Georgia and is pursuing a career in sustainable textiles and fashion. We are proud to say that she also sells her own clothing line, EUDOXA, at Community.

Supplies are not included in the price of the course. **You are responsible for bringing your own supplies.** You will receive a supply list from the instructor at least five days before the course begins. 

For cancellations, you will receive a 75% refund until seven days before the beginning of the course. Cancellation seven days or less before the course results in a refund of 25% of the workshop cost.  No refunds will be issued on the day the course begins or after the course has begun.
