The seaming and the inside finished seams just shout quality and attention to detail. The dress is a simple shift with a defined waist line and that perfect elegant silhouette. Mr. Valentino always must add a touch of romantic femininity and this is done with that fabulous ruffle edge at the hem. Each is created by the insertion of little rounded triangles of fabric. This same technique adorns the hem of the matching jacket - so when layered they are stunning atop one another. The jacket is also cut to skim the body and fits perfectly over the inner dress. Both pieces are made of the finest lightweight wool crepe that has just a touch of stretch so it travels and wears perfectly. These are in mint, museum quality condition and I am sure that their modern equivalent in the now red hot house of Valentino would run several thousand dollars at least! Excellent condition
