The Kidde K-270 Series Non-Coded Fire Alarm Stations are robust, visually appealing, and engineered for cost-effective installation. This series is offered in several operational and functional configurations: The K-270 Series features a single-action, break-glass activation mechanism. Models are available with normally open (N.O.), normally closed (N.C.), or combined N.O./N.C. contact options. Standard K-270 units utilize screw terminals for on-site wiring. The K-270A Series Manual Stations are equipped with 6-inch (150mm) wire leads. The K-270P Series is a break-glass, normally open pre-signal station; pulling the lever activates all pre-signal alert devices, while inserting and turning a key triggers a full evacuation alarm. Screw terminals are included for field wiring. All non-coded stations are suitable for either flush or surface installation. For flush mounting, a standard 4-inch North American square box with a single-gang plaster cover is recommended. For surface mounting the K-270 or K-270P Series, a cast box, steel box, or weatherproof enclosure should be used.
