This vintage blazer-style blue wool military USAF jacket is a true vintage treasure with a rich history. Originally crafted for military service in 1951, it then found its way into the hands of Bermans and Nathans,  a well known theatre and film costumiers, during the 1970s and 1980s. Now, it's your chance to own this captivating garment.

Product Details: 

- Stunning blue wool serge vintage blazer style long sleeved US Airforce military jacket

- Detachable circular metal US pins on the labels. Silver coloured on the front (tarnished) / gold pins on the back 

- Front pleated pockets and large lower front pockets both fasten with metal  decorated buttons 

- Jacket fastens down the front with 4 metal decorated buttons

- Epaulettes on each shoulder with button detail

- Open collar with double lapel 

- Split at the back of the jacket 

- Partial lined at the front and inside the sleeves 

- Inner breast pocket marked with Tougas, RE and service no. 

- Label inside the pocket confirms that the composition is 100% wool and was made in 1951 using a 1949 patented design 

- Second label inside the back of the jacket confirms its second career  at Bermans and Nathan's, renowned TV and film costumers

- Layer over a crisp white shirt and jeans or wear over a mini for a cute look

- Steam cleaned and ready to wear 

- Very good vintage condition. Just some discolouration where the jacket folds at the back of the neck and a tiny bit if wear right at the edge of the back split. Tarnish on the US pins. Please see the photos

Marked inside the jacket at a 36R but more like a modern day UK size XS- S ( male) 10-12 (female) but as vintage garments don’t generally conform to modern day sizes this is a guide only. Please see measurements below:
