This little red sweater is so fabulous and it is a wonderful example of the mid-century knitwear that was coming out of countries like Germany for the tourist market. It is completely hand made and I love the floral design that is worked through the knit around the collar and curving around the back as well. The knit through the body is nubby and  is slightly raised so has an extra dimension to it and I love the little cord that runs through the waist so you can pull it in and make it puff more if you wish. Little wood buttons are the perfect arts and crafts finish. Knits like this are showing extremely strong on the Prada, Miu Miu and Gucci runways this season and finding an original that can easily stand up to any of the newer pieces is a find. Excellent condition

Unlined and closes at the front with wood buttons. The knit does have some stretch so will fit a variety of sizes.
