Absolutely gorgeous, silk taffeta cocktail dress with that full skirt that is so flattering and a sleek and fitted bodice with an unusual funnel type neckline. I love when silk taffeta is used for these extravagantly shaped dresses - it adds the weight it needs to hold the shape and so retains the intended cut and fullness. The taffeta used is also quite beautiful - it balk with tiny, brilliant sapphire blue diamonds woven through the fabric. The skirt is two full layers over each other so you get fullness whether you wear a crinoline or not (as pictured, but the crinoline is not included). Very pretty and romantic and in excellent condition! It reminds me of Grace Kelly!

The top of the dress is unlined and the skirt fully lined with a built in stiffened crinoline made of dressmakers horsehair "paper" to hold the shape. It was photoed with a second light crinoline under it but it will have loads of natural shape and swing if worn without one still. One tiny pinhole at the base of the seam under one arm that seems sound. It closes with a back painted metal zipper.
