Very chic and easy to wear dress with a definitive caftan influence despite its shorter cut. The fabric is absolutely lovely - it is a black silk chiffon with a gold stripe running through it. What is remarkable it that the entire upper portion of the dress has been formed into vertical, flat knife pleats and this is done so that each pleat's edge falls exactly along the edge of the striping. It is all so perfectly lined up that you don't even really notice this until it is on your hands and you realize that is how it is constructed. Just below the waist they release and that is how the fuller lower portion of the dress is created. The sleeves are left just above the wrist and they are cut wide and straight. It is very light weight as it is i lined in a very fine silk chiffon and a dream to wear. Excellent condition.

Fully lined with a nude chiffon through the upper bodice and a black chiffon through the skirt. The sleeves are left unlined. It closes with a button at the back of the neck and then there is an open slit to just above the waist with three more buttons set there.
