The DAA2 Series amplifiers are versatile devices equipped with digital audio capabilities. Each DAA2 can access and process one of up to eight audio channels within the DVC audio loop, amplifying the signal and distributing it through four Class B or two Class A outputs. Additionally, the DAA2 series amplifier can accommodate an optional BDA Digital amplifier, which serves to provide one-to-one amplifier redundancy, facilitate two-channel operation, or enhance output power up to 100W.

The DAA2 features two wired digital audio ports for connecting to wire DAL (digital audio loop) segments, with the option to convert either or both ports to fiber using specialized fiber option modules. A single DVC Digital Voice Command unit can connect up to 32 devices, including DAA2 amplifiers. Furthermore, DAA2 amplifiers can be integrated with DAX and DAA series amplifiers on the same DAL.

An optional Firefighter telephone riser on the DAA2 enables local and network FFT communications, while the DAA2 also supports the use of an RM-1 remote microphone. These amplifiers are capable of storing backup alarm and trouble messages and offer an adjustable input for background music.
