I absolutely love the color of this piece - it's a beautiful combination of three shades of pink with a swirling design in gold thread delicately woven through the fabric. That gives it a subtle glow and really highlights and showcases the design of the fabric. The cut is fairly simple with long sleeves and a notched neckline. The waist nips in and the skirt is set into the waist with soft gathers at the top, done so that you don't get any bulk around the middle but the skirt is still allowed to widen as it reaches to the floor in one beautiful swoop. The embellishment n the bodice is of course the most beautiful detail - it rings the waist and goes up the front and right around the neck! Tube beads, faux pearls and pink hued large cut crystals are set in a stunning pattern! The dress has a fantastic romantic, pretty and light feel, but is still regal and beautiful. A wonderful example and an earlier Ceil Chapman! Excellent, seemingly unworn condition!

Fully lined in a pale pink silk and closes with a back, hand set painted metal zipper. I see no missing beads. Pockets sit along the seam on each side of the skirt. The inside seams are properly finished with ribbon edges. The true color is best shown in the closer photos though in person it also present with a slight more glow from the gold thread! Exquisite!
