How to care for leather?

Try not to get it wet (even in the rain). If it gets wet, simply wipe it with a dry cloth to absorb the excess and let it air dry at room temperature (never in direct sunlight or with a hairdryer).
For any grease or oil stains, also wipe it with a dry cloth to absorb (without rubbing) and take it to a dry cleaner.
