• The twin of this dress walk the Fall 2005 runway for Look 45.
• Made under the creative direction of Muccia Prada
• The dress was also the one chosen for the ad campaign that year. It was also shot for Vogue on Selma Hayek. One was worn by Rosamund Pike and Keira Knightley that year as well.
• I think this might be one of my favourite Prada dresses that was ever made.
• The dress is made from a beautiful weight black silk that has a deep red rose print screened onto its surface. The way the screening of the print is done makes it feel like an antique 18th century fabric. The quality is very high.
• The dress has a small neat collar and closes down the side of the front with a hidden set series of silk covered snaps. It skims over you to the waist.
• The edge of the seam where the skirt is set into the waist is left exposed. This is a technique that has become a Prada signature. The skirt falls under that with full gentle, soft pleats worked all the way around. It comes in just slightly at the hem so that it is very flattering on.
• The sleeves are cut to just past the elbow and are cut straight and wide.
• This is an absolutely beautiful dress. It is one of my favourites over her entire career as a designer.
• Fully lined in a black silk and snaps to close down the front with silk covered snaps hidden under the panel. There is also a hidden set side zipper.
