Nicknamed the “King of Cling,” Alaïa is a legend in the fashion industry. Known for his form-flattering designs, it’s said that models would refuse their booking fees, and instead asked to be paid in the clothes on their backs. REF: Vogue

He was considered a father figure to Naomi Campbell since she was 16 years old.

Alaia’s top models included Naomi Campbell, Farida Khelfa, Linda Evangelista, Helena Christensen, Elaine Irwin, Veronica Webb, Michaela Bercu, Emma Wiklund, Vanessa Duve, Beverly Peele, Gail Elliott, and Christine Bergström.

Notable clients of Alaia included Grace Jones, Greta Garbo, and Lady GaGa.

Excellent pre-owned condition with no flaws.

There is a hook and eye detail all up and down the back of the jacket. The back of the jacket is shorter than the front. Both the jacket and the skirt are intricately cut, typical of Alaia style. The wool is un-refined textured wool. 100% Wool.

A fantastic wearable, vintage piece by one of the most innovative and celebrated designers. An investment piece which is likely to increase in value.
