Brilliant, dark red in colour with a purple hue, this wine displays intense aromatics of cassis, mulberry and blueberry with hints of mint and dried herbs highlighted with vanillin derived from French oak maturation. The 2015 Brookland Valley Cabernet Merlot shows a lovely medium bodied elegance. Classic Margaret River characters of blackcurrant, plum and fruit cake flavours are complemented by hints of milk chocolate and bay leaf. French oak spice and fine powdery tannins give the palate an elegant structure and sustained length. Cellar for 6-8 years.
