A photographic guide to the USS Arizona, which exploded and sunk in Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Armed with 12 14-inch guns, and numerous smaller weapons, Arizona was one of the most powerful warships in the world when commissioned in 1917. This volume illustrates the modifications and improvements made to the ship during her service, and her subsequent loss and partial salvage. Today the battleship remains on the bottom of Pearl Harbor, spanned by a memorial to the sacrifice of her men.
