With a built-in 5-inch practice speaker for silent monitoring and the complete GEN 3 Katana feature set including the new Bloom switch, six amp characters, and comprehensive effects processing, the Katana Head GEN 3 is equally at home on the stage, in the studio, and in the rehearsal room.

The Bloom switch—an exclusive feature of the Head GEN 3—engages a dedicated circuit that sharpens attack and enriches low-end dynamics for a more organic, tube-like feel. Third-generation Tube Logic circuitry provides refined dynamic response across six amp characters (Acoustic, Clean, Pushed, Crunch, Lead, Brown), each with a selectable variation for 12 total tone options. Five independent effect sections (Booster, Mod, FX, Delay, Reverb) provide 60+ effect types via BOSS Tone Studio, and Power Control allows cranked-amp character at any volume from 100 watts down to 0.5 watts.

MIDI input enables advanced remote control and integration into any MIDI-controlled rig, and USB-C supports direct recording to computers and mobile devices. Three-way Contour and three Cabinet Resonance options (Vintage, Modern, Deep) provide detailed tonal shaping, and the Stereo Expand function supports dual-head stereo setups.
