I purchased this brass and glass mosaic Salvador Terán tray right off the wall at an estate sale, where it was aptly surrounded by mid-century furniture and South American weavings. Featuring a depiction of a woman in yellow blouse with green and white striped skirt carrying a basket on her head, this piece could be hung directly by the handle or via a separated hanging loop mounted on the back--or use it for serving tapas!

Renowned as a designer, innovator, and silversmithing technician whose specialties included mosaics and jewelry, Salvador Teran (1920–1974) was born and educated in Taxco, Mexico, and later established his own workshop in Mexico City--La India Bonita. 

I have not touched the brass on this piece but think it would shine up some if desired. The tray is in good condition, consistent with age. There are a few small dents in the brass, as visible in photos, and perhaps a few tiny chips in the mosaic tile, again as pictured. The tray measures 15 1/4" long x 6 1/2" wide x 1 1/2" deep.
