Watercolour Workshop with Ratna Rashidi

A chance to meet artist Ratna Rashidi, a self-taught artist focusing on botanicals and chinoiserie and endangered local birds with realism as her style of painting.

Ratna will share with us her journey in the art world. Holding her brush at the mature age of 46 years old and how she developed her skills in painting using watercolour initially and taught herself oil painting during the pandemic.

Part of this will be demonstrating, conducting and introducing the basic techniques of watercolour painting with a focus on painting pretty teacups. Suitable for beginners, Ratna will demonstrate and guide participants on painting their own teacup from a take-home painting kit containing a pre-printed teacup template on watercolour paper, brushes and professional-grade paint dots.
