Issued in 1978, this San Marino stamp commemorates the 30th Philatelic Day ("XXX giornata filatelica") in Riccione. It beautifully illustrates two birds in flight against a stylized backdrop of mountains and sea – a gull and a raptor, possibly a hawk or eagle. Designed by G. Cumo and printed by Courvoisier, the stamp has a face value of 170 lire. A striking representation of freedom and nature, it reflects San Marino’s dedication to philately and artistic expression.
