Scotch Filament Tape 8981 is a high-performance packaging tape reinforced with continuous glass-yarn filaments that give the tape very high tensile strength and low stretch. The clear 3M Scotchpro backing provides excellent abrasion and moisture resistance. The aggressive packaging-grade adhesive is specifically formulated to provide an excellent balance of initial adhesion and long-term holding power to most fiberboard surfaces, including recycled and printed fiberboard surfaces.

This is a great option for using in packaging, working well with corrugated cardboard, plastic, metals and fibreboard being prepared for shipping. Thanks to its high tensile strength that ensures it doesn’t snap, even in high-pressure uses, means it’s also the perfect choice for applications including bundling or reinforcing packaging, metal coil tabbing or sealing heavy-duty boxes or containers before shipping or storage. This tape can also be used for L-clip and U-clip closures and to secure or stick metal piping, furniture, automotive parts or sporting goods.

Being transparent in colour, this tape can be used for attaching delivery notes, printed documents or other illustrations to packages, as they will remain visible and legible through the tape.
