So many old pin cushions to love. This one keeps making me think of a strawberry shortcake flavored ice cream treat. It looks to me like homespun finely woven pink wool running around the perimeter, and the cushion itself constructed of thick cotton (and through a few holes the stuffing looks perhaps like tightly packed thread/string; the whole thing is sturdy and fairly firm.) Part of the appeal for me of a relatively minimalist pin cushion like this is the pins found in it too--this one looks like it was once punctuated with a full neat grid of them, some of which migrated over the years but some of which remain. 

3 1/8" d x 1 1/4" thick and in good well used antique condition.
