Why this product exists
We developed Allflex 101 as a safer, non-hazardous alternative to traditional silicone and solvent-borne sealants, specifically for timber joinery and demanding general building movement joints. It brings the paintability and easy cleanup of an acrylic with the high elasticity and weather resistance of a hybrid. No isocyanates means a safer product for continuous use, particularly in enclosed spaces or high-volume applications like window and door manufacture.
The numbers that matter
Every joint on a building moves. Allflex 101 handles ±50% joint movement. That means a 10mm joint can compress or extend by 5mm, twice the flexibility of many standard sealants. Its 1000% elongation at break ensures this flexibility translates into genuine crack resistance, even when applied to visible surfaces like painted timber. It dries clear from an initial white, making it invisible once cured. With a low VOC count of 32gm/lt, it meets stringent air quality standards, promoting a safer environment for applicators and occupants. Apply it across a wide temperature range, from -18°C to +60°C, ensuring project continuity through seasonal changes.
What it's like to use
Allflex 101 applies as a soft white paste, then cures to a crystal-clear finish. Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of contaminants. While priming is not usually required, for optimal adhesion on non-porous substrates, pre-treat with Adheseal 50A Surface Prep. For porous surfaces like concrete, use Everflex Supaprime Sealant Primer. Apply the sealant within the 5°C to 40°C temperature range. Tool off the joint with a moistened spatula within the 10-minute skin time to achieve a smooth finish. For best results, protect the joint from water until it dries clear. Clean wet spills and tools with Xylene; use Adheseal Hand Wipes for skin.

- Permanent Water Immersion is Present: Not for: applications like fish tanks or swimming pools.
