Set in New Jersey, New York, Boston, Sydney, and a hacienda in a nameless Latin American country, and peopled by characters rarely encountered in Philippine fiction, the stories in this collection reflect the author’s cosmopolitan lifestyle. But the final story is a homecoming made more poignant by the sense of doom hovering over it. The author studied at UST, wrote for the Varsitarian and worked as a journalist in Manila for over 30 years. Since 1979, he has worked in Australia, both as a journalist and in other fields.
