STAINLESS: Enduro Bearings produces certain series of bearings made with stainless 440C steel balls. This material offers maximum resistance to corrosion in all conditions. Depending on the application, Abec 3 or Abec 5 quality is used. Stainless steel balls have 20% less capacity than the 52100 steel balls used in most of our bearings, but they do offer better corrosion protection. Enduro Bearings uses CRC marine grease in these bearings for additional protection against contamination. LLB: Our most popular seal, consisting of a rubber finish with a metal core. Unlike standard 2RS, we go a step further by machining a recess in the inner ring, where the seal can rotate with excellent efficiency and resistance to a lesser bearing. Rather than a single "lip" of a thick seal rubbing against an uneven surface, the LLB type uses 2 lips of seals, thin as a razor blade that slides into a recess with light contact. The outer "lip" keeps water and impurities out, while the inner seal retains the grease for smooth rotation and long intervals between maintenance.
