Painted during the early days of Fringe, this romantic imagery was inspired by swallows, a popular motif in antique Victorian jewelry. A person departing for long periods of time would present loved ones with swallow brooches as a symbol of love and protection, promising a safe return home. Placed in an heirloom-like antique embossed frame, the birds and blossoms have become a cherished token meant to live forever.
