Modern, dynamic and quietly glamorous — the marquise eternity reimagines a classic shape with angled flair.
A continuous line of marquise-cut diamonds, each set at a subtle angle and claw-set around a slim 3.5mm band of solid gold or platinum. The marquise cut — long, pointed at both ends, named for the Marquise de Pompadour — is one of fine jewellery's most elongating, finger-flattering shapes. Set on an angle and repeated around the band, the effect becomes dynamic rather than static: a quiet rhythm of light that catches differently with every movement of the hand.
Designed to elevate a bridal stack without competing for attention. Slim enough to nestle alongside an engagement ring, striking enough to wear solo. Available as a half eternity (diamonds across the front) or a full eternity (diamonds all the way around).
Handcrafted to order in our Sydney workshop by our master jeweller — thirty-plus years at the bench, leading a team of designers and setters who hand-make every Deltora ring. Choose your metal, your diamond (natural or lab grown), and your half or full eternity, and we'll bring it to life by hand.
Ring details
What is a marquise cut diamond? A marquise cut diamond is a long, narrow, oval-shaped diamond pointed at both ends — sometimes called a "navette" cut. Originally commissioned by King Louis XV in the 18th century and named for the Marquise de Pompadour, the marquise has the largest face-up surface area of any diamond cut, making it look noticeably bigger than its carat weight suggests.
What does "angled" marquise setting mean? In an angled marquise setting, each diamond is set on a slight tilt rather than perfectly horizontal. The effect creates rhythm and movement around the band — each diamond catches light differently from its neighbour, producing a subtle, dynamic shimmer instead of a static line of stones.
Will a marquise eternity sit alongside my engagement ring? Yes — the slim 5mm band is designed to nestle beautifully alongside any engagement ring. The angled marquise diamonds add elongating presence without crowding your centre stone.
What's the difference between a half eternity and a full eternity? A half eternity has diamonds across the front half of the ring only. A full eternity has diamonds set continuously around the entire band. Half eternity is more comfortable to wear (no diamonds under the finger), easier to resize, and slightly more affordable. Full eternity reads more luxurious and is the original symbolic form.
Are marquise diamonds delicate? Marquise diamonds have two pointed ends, which are the most vulnerable points. Quality claw settings protect those tips with V-shaped prongs designed to shield the points — and our master jeweller hand-sets each diamond to ensure a secure, long-wearing finish.
Can a marquise eternity band be resized? Half eternity bands resize like standard rings. Full eternity bands are more difficult to resize because there's no plain metal at the back to work with — but we can usually adjust within a small range. We recommend confirming your size carefully with our diamond concierge during your consultation.
Can I customise this ring? Yes — every Deltora eternity band is handcrafted to order. Choose your metal, your diamond type (natural or lab grown), your band width, and your half or full eternity preference.
