The “Polimero Arte” Mazzucchelli Celluloide’s Aesthetic Research Centre at Castiglione Olona 1969-1973

The publication recounts the experience of the “Polimero Arte”. This was the name of the aesthetic research centre conceived and sponsored by Mazzucchelli between 1969 and 1973 which consisted in giving hospitality to famous Italian and international artists allowing them to experiment with the processing of plastic material as a new means of creative expression by focusing on its potential, from an expressive and not only functional point of view. The volume, curated by Lodovico Castiglioni and with a preface by Gillo Dorfles, is a photographic collection of some of the works created by some of the most important artists of the 1970s within this project.

Plastic Art belongs to the series "All’Insegna del Pesce d’Oro, historic publishing series founded in 1936, in Milan, by Giovanni Scheiwiller.
